The Earliest plates

The earliest plate we know of depicting ships of  the Holland America is from the early 1900-s. Below is a sample image of the only Nieuw Amsterdam milk glass plate we have seen in more than a decade dating from around the turn of the 20th century. We do not have any information about the plate's manufacturer, the occasion on which is was offered or where it was sold (most likely on-board). The image below shows a sample of what the plate looks like, the border is identical in white and gold but the center image depicts the Nieuw Amsterdam. Any information about this plate, and a better image of the plate would be highly appreciated.

1938 Nieuw Amsterdam Inaugural

The 1938 Inaugural plate of the Nieuw Amsterdam II was produced by Plateelbakkerij Zenith in Gouda under commission of the department store  "Bijenkorf". This plate is seldom seen and the only image available at this time is from an advertisement from the era. The text on the plate reads: "Ter herinnering aan de maidentrip Nieuw Amsterdam  10 Mei 1938", which translates to: "In memory of the maidentrip of the Nieuw Amsterdam, 10 May 1938". Any further information about this plate as well as a color image would be very much appreciated.
